Does collision coverage also pay the damages for my car if a friend borrows my car and wrecks it by accident?

If im paying a car… and I got an accident and I hit some other car… and so my car has damage and I want to keep the car I do really want to repair it… what are my options?? What if they say my car value is lower than the repair cost… will they give me money of the value of my car and take my car for them selfs ? Or will they just give me an amount of money and also I keep my car and I have to figure-out how to repair it????? I need to clear out this for my self please. Thanks
