Home Auto Insurance is 21st century auto insurance any good?

  1. NO

Go with Progressive Direct or AAA

21st and Mercury are the worst and they have had class action lawsuits against them I know because I was part of both

  2. No, they’re horrible.
I switched to them, they demanded proof of prior insurance and I was too busy to send this to them and increased my rates about $150 more every 6 months. They also ran records in some public database and are going to be automatically adding my roommate to my policy.
My roommate has multiple tickets/accidents which normally cost about $600 a month with other companies (not sure what they will charge). I called them up and explained that my roommate never drives my car and they said it doesn’t matter.

I don’t have enough money to pay 2 months upfront to another company and I’m hoping I can somehow switch to another company before they raise my rates to $600 a month because of someone who doesn’t even drive my car and I didn’t even tell them lived in my house.

My advice is avoid this company, the rate they quoted you is just a bait-and-switch and they will find multiple reasons to raise it. I’m going back to American Family Insurance as soon as possible their service is great and never had any problems with them.

Also 21st century is a subsidiary of AIG – I should have known better than to do business with AIG.
