  1. If similar insurance companies like Primerica are in the business of recruiting, what's the point of making sure I'm prepared for the interview? Just to give you a heads up, I have an interview with New York Life.

  2. Im barely 18 and switched auto insurances to State Farm and while having a conversation with the agent, I mentioned how I’ve been preparing taxes for other people for 2 years already. and right after mentioning that, she offered me a position to apply to and said they’re actually hiring and are looking for someone else to help them since there are only 2 agents at the site at the moment. She handed me her business card and told me to update my resume and email it to her so I did and now I have an interview in 2 days. I read somewhere that I need to have a bachelors degree in order to b a sales agent but aren’t the first 3 months training in order to get licensed? And since I’m barely 18, that means I’m barely even in college, pursuing a bachelors in business too.

  3. Hi David, thanks for this video.

My goal is to be my own boss:

Would you rather suggest working for a insurance company or stick to my current job and do insurance sales part-time?

    All the best.

  4. I have an interview with AllState as an Insurance Agent. I know it is sales, however, I'm confused as to whether your advice fits for my situation since the beginning of your video emphasizes "if you work for a home office or agency" this is not for you. Can you clarify?

  5. Great video. It says a lot that you are willing to put this info out there. I am newly layed off and am motivated to go into FE. I would like to attain my license prior to seeking out an agency I fit in. Can you/do you recommend any licensing prep courses in Texas?
