I filed a complaint with the FFS, and it took a total of 36 days for a "copy and paste" answer. Progressive Insurance just told them another story for not paying 100% of my damages and paying only 80% even when the other driver, ran thru a red light, was illegally on the intersection, impacted my car, received a citation and was at 100% at fault according to the police report. FFS does not have any power to solve this situation and it just functions as file keeper and a messenger. In fact by the way they wrote the answer they sent me, it would seem that they take the side of the insurance companies, as they underlined the part that was accusing me of being "negligent" for hitting a car that was illegally on the inter section and almost out of it. As illogical as this may seem that is the answer that Progressive provided. Never questioned by the FFS, never an advise by FFS, never even a hint that something was wrong with their answer. I learn from an insider that 80/20 is a standard procedure when dealing in cases on which the insurance company have to pay full damages. They will offer only 80% and find excuses, no matter how ridiculous they are, to wear the person out so it finally gives up the claim. As of today's date my car is still un repaired after more than two months since the accident. It looks to me that insurance companies in Florida will get away with anything laughing at the statues. Also, there are not many lawyers that will take the case since it does not includes per$onal injury. Can anybody help?
