It's aggravating that some people think everything and everyone exists only for their benefit. I do feel bad for the children whose parents tell them, “We’re going to do this fun thing because they’ll let us do it even though others can’t because we’re so special!” and then there’s nothing but disappointment because of the parents’ delusion and entitlement.

I am happy I have never had a situation while walking a dog where someone just comes up and tries to pet the dog. Every child/person I have encountered has asked and stayed back until I gave permission (not often done since I was walking dogs that were not mine and I don't want to be responsible for that.) The kids always ask first and I always thank them for asking and tell them that is a really awesome way to approach an unknown animal (there was a very sweet cat that enjoyed walks with her dog siblings and sometimes just walks with me and she always demanded attention.) I also tell them that unfortunately I am not the owner just the walker and can not give permission but thank them again for being good about asking first. If the cat is with me I tell them that the cat will however demand to be friends if they want to give he pets. Her nickname is Princess Diva because she is a queen and acts like a diva.

Last story, definitely call the cops on them. Get their threats on official record, and have her charged with threats, tresspass and vandalism.
