  1. It's a love hate relationship with AAA. I have been with them for 13 years. I have the AAA plus membership. I pay $96/year and get two free tows and each tow is up to 100 miles and they will drop the car off at any location I want, including my house. The Con is very few service stations will work for AAA, because AAA only pays their price to the tow truck companies. I have had to wait 2.5-7 hours for AAA to arrive on scene, because they mostly come out of the larger cities, so they have to drive 100 miles to get to cars in rural communities.

  2. Yes, I always get the plus one due to its 100 mile towing, also they now let you add another person that lives in your home for free, I use to pay 39.00 for it.

  3. Been a member of the Auto Club since '98. They were great for the most part in Southern California, I was able to schedule tows in advance (there were times when I broke down on a Saturday evening, and most shops didn't open till Monday).
I've had them for the last seven years now in Oregon/Idaho region and they are horrible! Tried scheduling a tow to take my vehicle to specialist out of town for a Monday, on the Friday before, they told me to call first thing Monday morning and it wouldn't be problem. So, 6:00 AM Monday morning, I call, and you guessed it, it WAS a problem! Long story short, after being passed around, hung up on a few times, by both AAA dispatch and the two Tow Companies ( I was NOT being rude) a tow truck driver finally showed up around 10:00, then he had to fuel up and get breakfast on the way, so my vehicle didn't get to the shop till after noon! I had a scheduled appointment with the shop for first thing in the morning.. They weren't too happy about that and that led to a horrible domino affect of events! Never got an apology from AAA not surprisingly.

  4. In theory it's a good idea. But call out the Australia's version and all they want to do is sell you everything.
All in the name of KPI's and profit. How do I know ? I work for the bastards. If members don't buy I get the blame and have to explain.
