Every week a Guardian Money reader submits a question, and it’s up to you to help him or her out – a selection of the best answers will appear in next Saturday’s paper.
This week’s question
We need a second car for local trips and are looking for the cheapest possible motoring. A Morris Minor will cost £100 a year to insure, and be tax free, but needs work. There is an old Toyota Prius nearby for £999 which is good on fuel and tax. What do others in our shoes drive?
