Geico is cancelling my 15 year plus policy after being a longtime loyal customers after they have to pay $5,000 on a claim, one claim!? This is literally a highway robbery, one time use policy shenanigan! Geico, crooks! I’m livid! I’ll be taking my 6 cars and boat elsewhere,…idiots! Sheer idiots! 10/2022 canceled by Geico in N CA, uncourteous break up crappy letter in the mail. Cowards!
If you don’t carefully study coverages, you put yourself at risk unless you work with a TRUSTED agent.
USAA is not what it used to be, I had the same experience as@Will Barks. I still maintain my home policy with USAA, premium same as GEICO
As a young naval reserve officer, 46 years ago, I found USAA the best deal available. As I recall, in that era USAA limited its customers to current or past military officers and their families. Been with them ever since, no complaints.
I've had USAA for decades [as my father who was in the Army Medical Corp] – with bundles for Auto, Home / VPP rider & also a General Liability i have reasonable costs that as good as GEICO when i was searching – but that was many years ago – i guess its time to try again. However, i do know that when i was caught in coverage of my condo water damage between my insurance vs that of the HOA USAA came through by absorbing the cost – and a claim i had whe my car was totalled eight yearss ago was very quickly adjusted and paid. There is something to be said about customer service in the sense that they take your side and get things done.
Yeah I don't know why this article said that USAA is cheaper than Geico, that has not been the case in my experience at all. They are about 20 bucks more a month for the same coverage.
I have Progressive Auto Insurance and pay $290 per year for basic state of Ohio minimum by law insurance on my 14 year old Buick.
I get a quote from both of them every year. House & Car Ins. bundle. Currently I have Geico because they are less expensive. I've had small claims with both of them and have no complaints in that regard. The one thing I don't like about USAA is the price tends to creep up everytime it's due for renewal. Now as far as your video is concerned, I wasn't aware Geico gave a 15% discount to Veterns. I'll have to check and make sure I'm taking advantage of that.
We use GEICO because of the price. We had Costco's Ameriprise before and they were awesome too. For our Texas property we have Travelers through GEICO.
USAA Jacked our insurance for no reason a few years ago. The only explanation they gave was that "they aren't competitive in all parts of the country". I was sad to leave but they made zero effort to keep us as a customer.
