Every single traffic light I stop for . I watch other drivers using their cellphones while I wait for a green light. Every single time . What does that tell you. The greater majority of drivers in BC and Canada don’t give a dame fuck about traffic laws . Especially the young new drivers . The cops don’t have the man power to control it either . It’s hit or miss.
Double the police force on the roads and triple the fines . You will see that bad drivers will change out of pure fear of getting caught . Break traffic laws and bad drivers should lose their vehicles and their lic. Bad drivers kill people période . It’s no different then someone running around with a loaded firearm. Guns kill too. A vehicle in the control of a driver who does not obey traffic laws should be considered a person with a dangerous weapon who will no doubt kill themselves or someone Eventually.
If John insist that we keep ICBC in control of our auto insurance. I will not vote for him period. I a tired of the high cost of living in BC.
The cost of living in BC is always directly due to the many decades of different governments in power . It never ends . What should be done about all the idiot drivers in BC which cause high insurance rates along with corrupt ICBC management. Is enact very high fines to bad BC drivers who get away with dangerous driving which result in more accidents which good drivers have to pay for as a result. Get rid of ICBC and allow private insurance companies to take over. BUT the BC government should keep control of insurance rates in BC to makes sure they are fair . Bad drivers should always bare the cost of the way they drive and not good drivers who obey traffic laws .

ICBC has been lying for years. The earnings they show us are based off of basic coverage only. Every piece of extra coverage you get goes into an investment account so that they don't have income on paper. Someone who understands this stuff better can take a look on the government of canada site. I also noticed only some years had all the information. Sometimes it didn't even have earnings totals. It is weird
David you haven’t improved the system for everybody. Young drivers are paying more than ever and being penalized for existing and wanting to drive. I’m paying 20% more for insurance. Total bs to say “hemorraging” money when it’s illegal in the first place to be reimbursing the government for other funds when they should be allocated towards people with car insurance. So much for ‘non-profit’ crown corporation… what a joke.
So the good drivers pay as much as the bad drivers! Gotta love socialism. Its failed time and time again throughout history and yet British Columbians embrace it! Live in alberta, visited Vancouver once! They're socialists because they're collectively stupid! Never go back!
I am definitely voting for Andrew Wilkinson next election. I don't even know anything else about him, other than he plans to bust up the ICBC monopoly and give them competition, and that is all that matters to me. 20% less is nothing compared to actual competitive rates. ICBC is full stop, the worst thing about living in BC. It is literally government sanctioned organized crime. I'll vote for anybody, who says they will stop them.
