What kind of BS life insurance policy pay only interest ? Yeah I'm a veteran too. I have life insurance with MetLife. It just took me an hour to get some information… I must have spoken to "customer service" reps in 4-5 different countries this morning… Costa Rica, India, Philippines… pathetic !

I can tell you that life insurance policies will not pay out in the event you die in war. It is in the contract.
My Mom died Saturday and now, Monday morning, I have been on hold for about 1 and 1/2 hours (and still on hold with music) trying to report it and file a claim. I am so angry. I'll bet if I called the number to buy a policy the call would have gone through to a representative immediately. MetLife you should be ashamed of yourselves. STAFF YOUR CLAIMS CENTER.

If you leave you money in the bank and the bank puts that money to work while guaranteeing it to you. Do you expect them to give you all or the profit or keep some for themselves for operating costs? ( and profit consideration is operating costs) No different with an insurance company it’s also a for profit financial institution nothing wrong here unless they are not informing the clients. But to expect the company to hold and manage that money for free is ridiculous.
the agent who sells you the insurance, profits from as may as the number of policies sold, that is when you go to withdraw the funds, the agent takes 20% and so mutiply that from the number of policies sold. I know. I was duped by MedLife in this way. The agents are not paid by MetLife. The agents take your money and if you thought you had a 50,000 policy, it's not true when time comes for the withdrawal. The agents get rich from the number of policies the agent sells and there's more. I don't know how to explain it.

I believe its wide spread…especially in the VA Medical Facilities…i know a veteran who discovered a STOLI ( Strangers Originated Life Insurance Policy) attached to his medical records!
