Just remove the inside body plastic piece with the serial number (held by 3 screws) – problem solved.
Does anyone have a solution for the body/chassis fit problem?
The 2017-2018 ones are worse…while the body’s sit properly on the chassis now…everything went complete plastic.
You do realize the front end is shaped like that right? The bowtie is supposed to be off a little because the front of the car isn’t symmetrical. It’s shaped like that so the car has better downforce at higher speeds. lol WOW
do you plan on getting the 2017 cars? im intersted in the 1:64
Thanks Jason for your review. I only wish I had seen this before I bought mine. It is very disappointing. Compared to funny cars leading up to this year, it looks like Lionel have gone CHEAP & NASTY. No opening roof hatch, no underbody reinforcing, body doesn't seat properly, front chassis misalignment, no rear wing supports – all details which stand out against earlier models. I completely agree with your recommendation, don't buy this. I won't be buying anything from Lionel again unless there are improvements made. Lionel are NOT doing their reputation any good by releasing this die cast funny car with such poor quality control.
Ty the new TF will be 1/32nd scale, the Camo and Courtneys Blue Traxxas one's will be the last till they get a new manufacturer! And ONLY If I find the 17 Height CUP and Courtneys new ride cheap will I buy them!
