I've seen a few good ones: TI3VOM (mounted on front of car; spells "MOVEIT" in rear-view); Dodge Viper: "PAID 4"; Delorean (at car show): "HITS 88"; "ROTFL :-)" (in state where symbols are considered half-characters) & my favorite (located in San Fransisco): "2Q2BSTR8". Also, I once tried to sneak "FAHCUE" passed my local DMV, but failed! 🙁

I put a silver star plat on my truck that said E6 NAM. It didn't keep people from tailgating, so I changed it to 23 KLS, and hung an M 14 in the gunrack in the back glass, and that did the trick.
