  1. Lol,…why does the "audience" clap for this complete circus? This isn't even a race. I would have DEMANDED my money back and left the track after 30 minutes of this.

  2. I mentioned it before on YT, there must be a dragstrip in every corner of every state of the USA. in europe we have only a few top fuel events and this one is the closest for me (still a 480KM trip) once a year for the weekend and it turned into a disaster…….

  3. Thanks for the informative reply. I go to all of the NHRA events here in California/Las Vegas, so if you are in need of anything or any info, just let me know.
    Cheers

  4. Pt 2:
All rubber, Trackbite etc more or less disappeared into the tarmac.
After three rounds of "Qualifiying" (see the corresponding videos on my channel) most drivers of the FIA car classes (T/F, P/M, P/S, TM/FC) decided not to race as they regarded the track understandably as irregular and dangerous.
As you can see in this video, the track was way off being able to deal with the power of a Nitro Car on Sunday afternoon.
Reportedly the Quartermile will receive a concrete surface by next August

  5. Greetings to the USA.

    Pt. 1:

Due to a recent FIA Formula 1 rule change regarding GP circuits, all Drag Racing relevant surface additions (rubber, Trackbite etc.) have to be removed on the road circuit race track and its runoff areas in order to keep the track sanctioned for FIA road? races. So the Quartermile was pressure blasted and track surface herewith more or less destroyed. The track crew worked their butts off to restore traction but the track didn't come round.

  6. Greeting from the USA and thanks for the nice video. Why did the FIA cancel all classes? Weather? Track conditions? Politics? I'm just interested in learning about what drag racing is like over in Europe. Cheers!
