The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia is a little better than what you've explained. This Government insurance stops the collusion of competing insurance companies and whatnot. You can still purchase 3rd party liability insurance from other companies, at possibly a lower cost, and have to deal with two systems to possibly save two hundred bucks a year. Not much point really. We've got it good, but it's expensive everywhere. ?
I wrote my car off by rolling it into a field after skidding on a thick layer of mud that a farmer had spent 10 days spreading all over the road. I didn't have legal protection so any claim for personal injury I would have to do myself. Then insurers informed me that if I went ahead with my claim for injury, they wouldn't be able to go ahead with their claim for the value of my car from the farmer's insurance so I had to drop my injury claim. A couple of months later, my insurance company informed me they weren't bothering to pursue the farmer and it was now chalked up to my fault so my premiums would go up. Meanwhile it's too late to reinstate my personal injury claim. Bastards!?
Totally agree. I was late with reconfirming my car insurance by a week. Had to get a requote. Went from the original 600 to 1000. Strange thing is I had used the same company for 8 years. Never made any claim of any sort. They forced me to switch. Bizarre. ?
i totally feel you. same with car dealerships and the banks that service auto loans. there is no transparency in the cost of a vehicle unless you do extensive research and i did not see the truecar advertised until it was too late. they are also able to manipulate the numbers on the interest rate, payment amount, how many payments, etc. so it all basically ends up the same and they get their money. and if you don't own the car you are required to get full coverage so that the bank gets their fat wallets filled and i am left with a third of what i payed into it if i am lucky if i want to trade it in. i was in an accident 2 years ago. my total coverage for comp and everything was 120 dollars US, and a year later it went up to 60 for liability and 250!! for comprehensive. after a year the rate barely changed, and i had to shop around just to get a rate of 210 + the 60 for liability. it doesn't make sense you pay for the car + pay to make sure that the bank is protected just in case their "asset" is damaged. you end up paying twice the value of the car or whatever and they make any excuse to charge you the maximum. it is one of the main things i am pissed about that causes economic problems. i am working just to keep my car running and go back and forth to work. if i am paying insurance to protect the value of the car as well as paying for use of the car i should have a greater stake in the value of the car if i am basically paying twice for it and being legally slaved into it. i feel like i am ranting and flying off the handle and someone will come up with an economic justification for insurance but they need to start being reasonable instead of being greedy fucking cunts.?

The Veterans HOSPITAL Police dept., while in therapy which I have been going to for 8 years I had to park in a spot not marked but completely out of the way of anything. Parking is an ongoing problem at our Hospital, EVERYONE knows it and no one gets towed. So imagine this disabled vets surprise coming out of a 2 hour therapy session, did I say I was disabled? To see his car being towed away! Why,?because I didn't answer the page on the PA system fast enough! When asked why I didn't respond I yelled I was in FUCKIN THERAPY! no speakers in therapy for a fucking reason!! Not good enough, 107.00 for the tow ad 75.00 that I have to pay at court! I am making a video soon about this and I am getting as many officials as it takes plus the News to make these CUNTS pay!!!?
