I love this kit, everything went together straight forward.
Can t tell you what the fit pro lem is, Chris — I can't see how you did anything wrong. The body sits too high off the chassis — should be snugged down right over the tires. But the blower scoop is up tight against its metal panel so no spare space there. And that windshield . . . Build the chassis, build the body, paint it all, then fit it together. But it's too late to find the trouble. I would build the basic chassis then the body and ensure it fits properly. Then adding the driver's compartment, engine, and accessories while adjusting everything should eliminate the proble. It's a great kit. I think changing the assembly order and constantly trial fitting should make it fit better. Cheers!
Greetings, I watched this build several times since I am working on this kit. I have a question for you regarding the motor. Did you encounter the oil pan over extending the length of the motor? In my kit the oil pan seems like it is to big length wise for the motor. I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you for your time and consideration.
im building this one now……that chassis is "fiddly" and thank you for showing how that rear bulkhead goes in and how the interior panels all go together….the instruction are very unclear on that as you stated….edit: also, the electrical tape tip for the blower belt is genious….mine snapped trying to stretch it around the pulley system and actually the tape looks better I think….thank you.
try canopy glue on the windshield
sorry not 68 but 70 front grill
sorry not 68 but 70 front grill
Do you build for other people I built a lot but my hands are too shaky now
i thinking about building models again… is there anyway where you can post what all is needed to help build? such as paint , glue white lettering for the tires… last time i built a model i used "testors" glue.. ty…

I remember this car. Dodge made a 21st century Grand Spaulding Dodge, Mr. Norm Charger. Norm's son did a video showcasing the new street version.
You sure sound like Steve Magnante.
Using tape to make belts is a nice detailing touch!
Beautiful work as always mate, having a chilled Sunday here catching up on your videos ???
Supeb job Chris, I love the way the printed decals slide off in blocks so you dont have to faff around lining them all up. I noted on this re-issue the tyres are printed so will wait for them to arrive in Europe. Really enjoying these funny car builds. ?
ooooo this is nice I might get it
Another nice looking kit Chris. When I left school in the mid 70s, I wanted to be an automotive engineer but noone knew how to guide me. So now when I build these kits (and trucks etc) I do it like the prototype and really enjoy the build
Bought multiple of this series when they first came out about 20 years ago. There were i think 4 including the Hawaiian. They're reissuing these again?
No one seems to show how the front end goes together – Its the worst part of the instructions.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xP0Jw0nenQ since you mentioned the funny car version of general lee, fantastic to see in person
