The Chi-Town Hustler doing almost full track burnouts is a favorite memory & more big time drivers/cars/races than you could shake a stick at! Also miss the strong A/Gas field that was always present back in the day. Like another comment pointed out; this really is art.?

is this U2?!? btw awesome video! i always wished i lived during this time, but at least i can drive a 80's car!
@2011mod same here, grew up at sac raceway did alot of racing in the 80s…..long live pro gas….
Thanks! Yes I remember the fuss they made about KB's car. They were right to ban it. When the Funnycar class started in the late '60s the cars were very stock appearing. As the speeds increased, the teams tried anything to try to cheat the wind. Today's cars look a lot like KB's "Batmobile" from the '80s but the rear wings are getting so big they look more like dump trucks! Thanks for taking time to watch and comment!

Remember when they would push start the rails on the fire row, You could hear the motor turn the blower starting to whine, then when the motor would fire, fuel would fly into the stands, the whole car would flex and the unmistakeably sound of an AF/D would pierce your ears. Awesome, I will never forget those days.
@bongnbud Thanks a lot for watching and the nice comment! Don't you miss the multiple burnouts (dry hops)?
John
@pipetor1 Too bad the big boys from NHRA don't run at Martin anymore. I think they would run well at the new track! Thanks for watching!
