  1. I've had many insurance companies. Geico seems to be one of few were you can pick/choose your coverage online. I have basic liability on both cars, unless you have brand new car, full coverage is not worth it!?

  2. Thank you so much for this (and your other videos as well). We've been working on trimming the fat from our budget and reducing our bills. I had already called my insurance company regarding discounts and they offered me a few for a good start. I had also used a rate calculator recently where I observed the difference in the rate when you switch from a $500 deductible to $1000, but for some reason, it didn't register. You helped me realize that our emergency fund will easily cover a $1000 deductible, so I called up my insurance company as soon as I finished watching this video and will now be saving even more on my insurance. Thanks so much!?

  3. Hey you guys, great tips. I didn't know that you could pay your insurance annually. I pay in full every 6 months. I also decided this last go round to cancel full coverage because my car wouldn't be worth that much compared to what they'd pay. It would probably be better to put the money that you would've paid to the insurance company in an account towards another vehicle in the event that something happens. But I'd like to know how to figure out how much liability coverage to have. Can you answer that for me? Thanks.?

  4. Thank you so much for doing this video. I was trying to figure out how to go about getting car insurance and ofcorse at the best price. My mom has always paid my insurance so this is all new to me. Now I know what questions to be asking and what to be looking for when I decide who I stick with. Thank you so much you guys are my life savers once again ?? sending hugs!?

  5. I'm a claims adjuster and I was pleased you didn't advise to drop liability limits. It does save money but if you were to cause an accident, there needs to be enough money available so the claimants don't come over you.

From my experience, any medical you can purchase on an auto policy is not worth it if you have health insurance and money saved.

As for dropping full coverage, if you can get over $2500 for your car, it's worth it to keep full coverage since it's usually affordable.?

  6. I was pleasantly surprised that you didn't advise your viewers to drop liability limits. That's so important to have decent limits because if an accident does happen, the coverage should be in place so the claimants aren't coming after you.

I'm a claims adjuster by the way. I also recommend not doing the medical payments coverage to save some money if you have health insurance.?

  7. Just bought car ins this past Wednesday. Back in July, I was rear ended. Totally NOT my fault since I was properly stopped with the turn signal on. So when I did the online quote, I didn't add it bc it wasn't my fault. When I called to buy the ins, I was charged an extra $21!!! They said I'm accident prone. Gonna fight it. Bunch of nonsense.

Thanks a bunch for this video.?

  8. Thanks for the info. – we are guilty of "just staying with our insurance company". I took a class at a local community college about 5 years ago and the gentleman said the "same thing" – just think you are "loyal to company by renewing your insurance but they are not loyal to you – get in an accident and you will see! Also, they don't ever call YOU and say – let's see how we can discount your insurance rates! We will be doing this because 2016 is the year of Debt Freedom for the Covingtons of NC!! You all are so awesome – Thank you!?

  9. Great advice as always. Thank you. We reduced our annual Home/Auto insurance by over $900 just by calling a local insurance BROKER instead of another national brand. We are blown away at the expense of a national brand we've been with for oh so many years.?

  10. When hubby and I retired and therefore drove a lot less, we really saved a lot off our insurance. That was a great tip you guys passed on. I really recommend it.?
